We use local ingredients to prepare traditional dishes that every true cook should know. From classic Gorenjski štruklji and various ways of using stretched dough to baking bread, making buckwheat dumplings, and preparing žganci. During wild food season, we venture into meadows and forests to discover edible and tasty plants, learning how to prepare them! WORKSHOP LEADER: Tonka Zadnikar

If Ms. Tonka isn’t training for her next trail, traveling, or cycling, she’s almost certainly cooking! With 35 years of experience managing mountain huts, she has also perfected the art of stretching and preparing dough for delicious štruklji!

During the workshop, Tonka will carefully explain and demonstrate every step of the process. We will follow her instructions closely, all the way to the final product, which you will be able to take home and share with your loved ones—where even the most discerning guests will enjoy your delicious štruklji!

All ingredients will be provided; all you need are skilled hands and a not-too-empty stomach, because the aromas will be irresistible!

Tonkina workshops are primarily held at the premises of Agencija Julijana, Borovška cesta 93B.
Registration is mandatory, and the spots fill up quickly, so we recommend early booking.
